Schoening Reacts to President Trump’s Nomination of Former Space Force Guardian
Lohmeier to Undersecretary for the Air Force
MONUMENT, Colo. – Darcy Schoening, candidate for Chair of the Colorado Republican Party, issued the following statement regarding President Donald J. Trump’s nomination of Air Force Academy graduate and former Space Force Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier to serve as Undersecretary for the Air Force:

Matthew Lohmeier to this critical national security position is a bold and decisive step toward restoring much-needed integrity and focus to our armed forces. As an Air Force Academy graduate and decorated officer, Colonel Lohmeier embodies the courage, leadership, and dedication to our nation’s defense that this role demands. His nomination is a clear signal the days of a politicized military are coming to an end.”
